Columbus GA Info Blog

As one of my first blog posts I thought I would write about one of my favorite places in the area. Donna and I spent the afternoon at Callaway this past Sunday.  This 13,000 acre resort is an awesome place to hang out and only about 20 or 30 minutes North of Columbus in Harris Co. We have a year round car pass (only $100) and we use it to check out the Gardens in all seasons. Sunday we went up to the discovery center and took the walking trail (there are 17 miles of trails) starting at the lake and walked up past the area where they have the Raptor free flight exhibition. As it happened the show was just starting and featured Owls today. We followed the trail on up to the Butterfly center which is a glass house with a tropical feel. Read the rest »
